Submission of requests for information to the Road Transport Inspectorate (hereinafter referred to as INSID) and their provision by INISD employees are governed by Act No. 106/1999 Coll., on free access to information (hereinafter referred to as the Act), and Government Regulation No. 173/2006, on the principles of determining payments and licensing fees for the provision of information pursuant to the Act on Free Access to Information.
Procedure for processing the application
The request must be processed in accordance with the law and government regulations. The INSID department contacted shall provide the information requested by telephone without delay, if it is available to it. If it cannot process it, it shall ask the applicant to submit the request in writing.

The application can be submitted by mail, in person at the INSID office (see address above) or via the electronic office at podatelna@insid.gov.cz.
3. Sazebník úhrad za poskytování informací
According to Act No. 106/1999 Coll., on free access to information, as amended, and Act No. 123/1998 Coll., on the right to information about the environment, as amended, the Road Transport Inspectorate determines the amount of fees for providing information.
Failure to satisfy the applicant by INSID
An appeal against INSID’s decision to reject a request for information can be filed within the deadlines set by law at the following address:

The appeal can only be filed in writing. The appeal must contain the name of the applicant, the address, what the applicant sees as a violation of the law, what the applicant is demanding, and the applicant’s signature. The Road Transport Inspectorate will then submit the appeal, together with the case file, to the superior authority, the Ministry of Transport, within 15 days of the date of delivery of the appeal.
